About the Owners
Rick Ellis, CPM, Broker/Owner
Since 1980 Rick Ellis has been successfully involved in the management and operations of apartments and other residential rental real estate. In 1984 he founded Ellis Property Management Services to provide executive-level management and marketing consulting services to the multifamily industry. He is an industry expert in apartment marketing, property positioning, and evaluation of rental markets and sub-markets throughout the United States. Rick is a much sought-after speaker, making hundreds of presentations each year on topics from basic apartment leasing to the "Economics of Apartments"
When Rick opened the North Irving apartment locator office in 1985, he worked the first two years at J. Ellis as a full-time locator doing as many as 72 leases in a single month. Today, with the valuable assistance of a general manager, he currently manages the daily activities of marketing, hiring, training, and creating the type of environment that allows commission sales people to thrive.
Joanna Ellis, CAPS, Co-Owner
Mrs. Ellis directs the EPMS nationwide on-site leasing consultant shopping and evaluation services. EPMS has established itself as the premier apartment shopping company in the country. Shopping clients include most major apartment developers, management companies, and REITs. Joanna also operates all property management operations for the company, currently managing about 150 single-family homes, duplexes, and condominiums. She has established herself as a leader in off-site residential management in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area.
